In 2009, the Lake in the Sky Air Show marked the 20th year for the annual open house event at the Lake Tahoe Airport. In 1990, the first Lake Tahoe Air Fest for the community was a 5-day visit of the Confederate air force with Sentimental Journey, a B-17 WWII bomber.
The second year featured static displays of warbirds and classic airplanes. In 1992, Dr. Donald Frier and Vern Dallman, former members of the Airport Commission, helped arrange a small complimentary air show...and it has continued to grow each year since.
Join us at Lake Tahoe in 2010 for the 21st year celebration of America's High Altitude Air Show.
